Move It Health ("we," "us," or "our") is a social health app built to help friends and families get healthier together through groups, challenges, shared progress, and encouragement. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and what choices you have.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information when you use Move It Health:
- Account information such as your name, email address, sign-in identifiers, and profile details.
- Group and social information such as group memberships, invite activity, reactions, and shared posts or updates.
- Health and activity information you choose to connect or log, including steps, workouts, activity summaries, challenge progress, and manual entries.
- Profile content such as photos, display names, and other details you choose to add.
- Device, diagnostic, and usage information such as app events, crash reports, feature usage, and general app performance data.
- Notification-related information such as push tokens and your notification preferences.
- Support messages you send through the in-app contact flow, including your name, email address, and issue description.
How We Use Information
We use information we collect to:
- create and manage your account and group membership
- power challenges, progress tracking, leaderboards, reactions, and encouragement features
- sync activity data you authorize us to access
- send service messages, challenge updates, invites, and notifications
- maintain app security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems
- measure product performance and improve the app experience
- support subscriptions, entitlements, and restore-purchase flows
Health and Social Visibility
Move It Health is designed around shared accountability. That means some information you submit or connect may be visible to other members of your group, including your name, profile image, challenge participation, progress, activity summaries, streaks, reactions, and related social activity. Only share information you are comfortable sharing with your group.
HealthKit and Connected Services
If you choose to connect Apple Health or another supported data source, we use that data to support your experience inside Move It Health. We do not need you to connect health data to use every part of the app, and you can revoke permissions through your device settings. Health and activity information is used to provide Move It Health functionality and is not used by us to serve third-party advertising.
Payments and Subscription Information
Paid subscriptions in Move It Health are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We may receive limited subscription status information, such as your plan, product identifier, renewal state, and expiration details, so we can unlock the correct features in the app.
Advertising
Move It Health is not designed around third-party advertising. We do not currently run third-party ads inside the app, and we do not use the health and activity information you share with Move It Health to target third-party ads to you.
How We Share Information
We may share information in the following limited situations:
- with other Move It Health users in your group when the feature is built around shared visibility and encouragement
- with service providers and infrastructure vendors that help us operate the app, such as hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, messaging, and crash reporting providers
- with Apple when necessary to support App Store billing, subscription validation, and related platform requirements
- when required by law, legal process, or a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service
- as part of a business transition such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain group and account records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention may vary based on the type of information and whether the information is needed for security, accounting, or operational reasons.
Support messages submitted through the in-app contact flow may be retained so we can review the issue, respond if needed, and maintain a record of prior requests for support and abuse prevention.
When a group is deleted, we may retain a limited deletion record, such as the group identifier, creator identifier, group name, plan tier, member count or member identifiers at deletion, deletion timestamps, and cleanup status, for security, fraud prevention, operational integrity, and recordkeeping. We do not need to keep the full deleted group content in active systems for that purpose.
Your Choices
- You can choose whether to connect health data and whether to grant notification permissions.
- You can update profile information in the app.
- You can delete your account from the Settings screen in the app.
- You can manage subscription cancellations through your Apple account settings.
- You can request a refund from Apple through Apple’s own refund process.
- You can request account-related help through the support contact listed with Move It Health.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account from the Settings screen in the Move It Health iPhone app. That starts deletion of your account and the associated data we control in our active systems, subject to legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, backup, and operational retention requirements.
Deleting your account may remove your ability to access groups, challenges, messages, progress history, and related content. Data already shared with other users may remain in their copies or visible group views where the feature requires it. Deleting your account does not cancel App Store subscriptions or guarantee a refund.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information we control. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Move It Health is not intended for minors. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information without appropriate permission, contact us through the support method listed for Move It Health so we can review the situation.
International and Regional Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. We will review and respond to requests as required by applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and provide additional notice where appropriate.
